no. 001 [video from new bark town.]
[A Sableye isn't exactly the first thing most people want to see when they check the network, with its gleaming eyes and wide, sharp smile. This one doesn't seem intent on being creepy or mischievous today, though. Even for those that don't speak pokémon, the raspy growls have the characteristic lilt of a genuine question.]
Hey! How do I get my trainer to trust me? I'm trying to show him around, but...
[He moves the video over to a young boy who's frowning and feeling his way along the outer wall of Mom's house. He's got what appears to be a makeshift blindfold on, if the frayed edges are any indication, and quite the unusual ensemble...
As the video bounces closer in, Emil's frown deepens and he waves as if to shoo the creature off.]
He keeps doing that!
[At least Emil seems satisfied with the distance the Sableye had retreated to again, exhaling out a sigh and going back to his slow mapping out of the area.]
I hope I find the others soon... Where is this, anyway?

Oh... That's cool.
[Gotta...reach for a branch... Hmmn, it's pretty twiggy. That wouldn't be much help.]
I've never seen an Umbreon before. I hope I get to with my trainer. [Aha! This one should work.] Is your trainer nice to her, too?
Of course she's nice with her! My trainer is nice to every Pokémon she meets! She loves us all~!
That's good! [He seems genuinely relieved. After all, trainers couldn't be so different, could they?] Hey -- was she like this with any of you?
[He snaps a branch off -- it's a good size, if a little lacking in length. He positions it in front of the camera for the Meowstic to inspect.]
Do you think he can use this one?
[She nods a few times.]
Yes! Just break off the smaller branches so he doesn't hurt himself!
Oh, right! Gosh, you're really smart.
[It takes him a little longer, with how meticulous he is about smoothing out jagged breaks. It didn't look like there were any socks around, so he'd just have to make it the best stick ever.
When he's satisfied, the Sableye hops down and drags the stick over to Emil to offer it with a wide, expectant grin. Whatever he's hoping for when the boy roughly takes it away from him doesn't happen. Emil gets a look of concentration for a second, but when nothing happens he lets out a frustrated huff and -- bonk! Down comes the stick on the creature's head.]
Yowch!
Don't come any closer, you hear me!
