[It's been two weeks and a lot of trouble for young Emil, navigating with his blindfold. The unfamiliar setting was hard enough, but with rain on top of that? At least he'd accepted the Sableye after a few days and had time in Cherrygrove to unwind. He's gone out again now, though the image he shares with the network shows him indoors and in dry clothes -- he'd had to change back into the clothes he'd arrived in, soaked as he was from the day's rain. It's a little blurry, definitely not something that would win awards, but it's still enough to show a Meowth egg settled in his lap and that was the idea. Well, that and testing out the 'gear's functions to see if he'd gotten it right and he really could attach a picture to his voice.]
So this...really isn't a mistake? This egg will really hatch into a cat?
[He makes a thoughtful noise, switching to a tone that sounds more like he's musing to himself.]
I don't really know how many things come out of eggs back home -- like this, I mean, with a shell and everything. Definitely not cats. But I look forward to it, if it's true!
[There's the soft clatter of glass being set onto a table before the feed abruptly cuts out, but it's only an hour or so before another picture shows up with the same voice accompanying it -- softer though, warmer. The photo shows the young boy eating and laughing with an older man that some might be able to recognize as Mr. Pokemon. Well, honestly the image is mostly table, like something small had taken the picture instead of another trainer. Emil might not have known Stilzchen was playing with the camera again, but...he's glad he did, if he gets to have this memory to share.]
It's been raining a lot, but...that's okay. People here are really nice. Nicer than I ever expected...
Even the friendly people back home were never this welcoming towards me. Is this just how other worlds are? I wonder... [He seems to remember then that he's not just recording his thoughts for himself and clears his throats.] They did have a good reason, so maybe it's just me. What were your worlds like for you?
[ooc: this is slightly forward dated to the evening, around suppertime!]

[He can't help but chuckle to himself.]
But...I know how it feels to be super lonely, like...so lonely you can't even bear it. So...I guess I just feel really bad when I hear other people say stuff like that. But it's just like you said! I got friends who made everything better in the end, soooo yes. I certainly do have friends like that, too~
[Audio]
[Although if this guy's friends also weren't around, that...would be a bummer. Maybe it would be better to avoid that topic for now.]
So your name is Teddie...? I'm Emil! I just got here recently.
[Audio]
[Never mind that he just said his name out loud.]
Get outta town, you just got here, too?! I still don't know what the heck I'm doing half the time, everything's all weird, right?
[Audio]
Oh, you too? Really weird. Everyone says I'll get used to it in no time, but that seems hard... I learn something new and strange about this place every day! And it's the same for you?
[Audio]
Huh...now that I think about it, I guess I never thought about other people being Teddie-level clueless now that we're in a new world. I always just assumed everyone knows more than me...
[So that means at some point even Rise was clueless, too. That's so weird to think about, he can only see his friends as beacons of all knowing knowledge.]
[Audio]
[Hmn... And he'd been worried about being lonely, others feeling afraid...]
Did you not...get to go many places where you were before?
[Audio]
[In fact, he's fairly certain some of his friends would be seething if they ever found out.]
I guess I just never thought about how other people would feel being the bear outta water for a change. I'm gonna have to ask Rise-chan about it later, I bet she's got a whole bunch of stories.
[Audio]
Oh, that's good. I mean, the going places part, not the not knowing things. [But that had probably been obvious.] So you've gone to different worlds before...
[...wait a minute.]
Isn't it usually fish out of water...? Bears aren't in water that much, are they?
[Audio]
[It's good to dream. Although the moment Emil questions him, he can't help but laugh. Loudly.]
Are you kidding? Bears are in the water all the time, you should see my Teddie paddle!
[Audio]
I don't know if the natives would like you eating up their world very much.
[He's joking though, as his tone suggests.]
Are they? I've never actually seen... [WAIT ANOTHER MINUTE -- ] Your -- ? Are you a bear?
[Audio]
You bet, I am in fact a bear!
[Again, he can't sound any prouder even if he tried. This boy has too much bear pride.]
Although Rise-chan assured me that I am 100 bearcent human at the moment. But that won't stop me from acknowledging my fuzzy origins.
[Audio]
I've talked to two of you now that didn't used to be humans... [It does...make sense, he supposes... Though he has to wonder what would happen if Weiss ever showed up.] It's weird that this world's magic did that, though. Are you doing okay as a human?
[Audio]
[In fact, he sniffles right now.]
But it's cool, right? I never met anyone who wasn't human bearfore, and now it's like every other person is just like me! Even Pops isn't human, and he's like one of the coolest people I've met here. I just wish I knew what the heck he really is...
[Audio]
Good! That's good. Not everyone can feel the same way you do about it.
Um... Pops? Like a father...? [Not Teddie's father, surely, or it'd be another bear.] Are they like that woman called Mom?
[Audio]
[Among...other things.]
Oh, uh, no, Pops is new here, too. I just call him that 'cause he reminds me of Nana-chan's daddy. Aaaaand 'cause I might not [Ahem] know his actual ...name. Heheh...
[Audio]
[Teddie... As naive as Emil was, even that...]
Shouldn't you, ah... Ask him, then...?
[Audio]
Nnngh, he uh, he can't talk so good. Or at all.
[Audio]
[Well, that could be a problem, then.]
What about writing...? Though my Sableye can't talk or write, so maybe that's not possible for him, either? Are the two of you able to communicate okay without that?
[Audio]
[Wait.]
...Huh, I guess I coulda asked him after all! But I think he kinda likes it, he didn't got all mad or yelled at me for it yet. Or, erm, wrote me an angry letter in his case.
[Audio]
You don't have to stop calling him Pops! But it'd be nice to know his name anyway, you know?
[Audio]
After a good number of seconds, he finally gasps.]
I should do that!! I'm gonna ask him!
[Audio]
Bring supplies, if it's in person! It'd be awful if he couldn't tell you because there wasn't anything to write with or on, right?
[Audio]
I'm gonna bring forty pencils!
[How's that for supplies?]
Or maybe just the poke-phone-gear-thingy, cause that's how we text each other!
[Audio]
[But he appreciates your enthusiasm.]
